Whirlaway was a late scratching at 10:55am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to the right eye, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Ellise crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Just Bliss and Ali The Great. Amram Allen and Sin City Girl collided on the first turn checking Amram Allen, Miss Mozoltov, Sin City Girl and Dr. Ellise. Sin City Girl checked off Proceed approaching the second turn checking Sin City Girl, severely checking Ali The Great. Sin City Girl checked off Dr. Ellise in the back straight. Sin City Girl and Just Bliss collided approaching the home turn.
Sin City Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards issued a warning to Mr S. Bonaccurso, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.
