Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 37.1 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.8 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
A pre–race urine sample was taken from Lady Rosalyn.
Tenten was quick to begin and raced wide in the home straight. Atomic Diva was slow to begin.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr S Hamilton, the handler of Lady Rosalyn, regarding the greyhound initially being placed in the incorrect starting box before being relocated into the correct starting box. Acting under GAR 156(f), the Stewards charged Mr S Hamilton for negligence. Mr S Hamilton pleaded guilty to the charge. A fine of $100 was imposed.
