Three Soldiers – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a fractured right fibula.

Roger That, Guevara and Three Soldiers collided soon after the start.  Toonang and Shirdale Casey collided soon after the start checking Shirdale Casey.  Roger That checked off Three Soldiers at the 300m mark.  Toonang and Roger That collided at the 150m mark checking Roger That.   

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr W Rudd, regarding the betting activity on Betfair for Nangar Rippa.  Mr Rudd could offer no explanation regarding the betting transactions on both Betfair and the TAB markets and stated that he did not support the greyhoundm  Mr Rudd also advised that he had no communication with the connections leading into the event.  Mr Rudd further stated that he expected a forward showing today and was disappointed the greyhound came in second place at Healesville on 12 April, 2019 after being beaten by a head.  Stewards noted the explanation and directed a post-race sample be taken from Nangar Rippa - the winner of the event.

Three Soldiers underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Kukudio and Erupt Eve Lad collided soon after the start.  Subscapularis checked off Two Seasons soon after the start.  Kukudio checked off Erupt Eve Lad at the 300m mark.  Black Pocket and Pop Do It collided at the 250m mark checking Pop Do It.  

Standing Bear – Late scratching at 7:48am by order of Stewards.  No stand down period was imposed.  

Bluehawk Robert was slow to begin.

Jack Skywalker and Bluehawk Robert collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark.

Zipping Sassy - Late scratching at 10:41am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to elvated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pursuant to GAR 104 (7) Steward Miss D. Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Aston Klara and Calcaneal were slow to begin.

Tampico and Aston Klara collided soon after the start.  Aston Jewel and Tampico collided at the 300m mark.

Vitaliser underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a mild episode of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome post-race. No stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Poppy – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a right hock injury.

Superior Briz was slow to begin.

Challis Annie and Early Special collided soon after the start.  Meehan Pebbles and Mrs. Jawa collided at the 300m mark.  Superior Briz and Precious Metal collided approaching the 250m mark and again at the 150m mark.  Voluptuous Blue checked off Zipping Poppy at the 50m mark checking Precious Metal.

A pre-race sample was taken from Vandebay.

The 'all clear' was delayed for this event after greyhound Dyna Ianto became entangled with the decoy requiring the Club Official to render assistance to the Catcher.  Stewards spoke to Catcher, Sophia Bradley, and took no action in the matter.

Superior Pal crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Aston Xanadu and Wazza Hawk collided at the 200m mark.  Vamoosh and Aston Xanadu collided at the 150m mark.  Mister Maker and Dyna Ianto collided at the 50m mark.  Vamoosh and Vandebay collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Alfie's Affair.

Meehan Blue was slow to begin.

Agent Osti and Tinker Bess collided soon after the start.  Undetectable checked off Meehan Blue soon after the start.  Meehan Blue crossed to the outside at the 100m mark and faltered in turn checking Fruit Frames; Meehan Blue fell as a result.

Agent Osti underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fracture to the right radius and ulna and a fractured left wrist. Agent Osti was humanely euthanised.

Meehan Blue underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture and left radius and ulna; Meehan Blue was humanely euthanised.

Stewards inspected the track focusing at the 100m mark following the event and passed the surface at that point satisfactory for racing.

Squishy Pea – New declared weight of 31.8kg, last raced at 33.6kg.

Banjo's Affair and Squishy Pea collided soon after the start.  Squishy Pea and Bring The Spring collided soon after the start.  Blackhawk Parker and Squishy Pea collided approaching the 300m mark.  Blackhawk Parker, Squishy Pea and Bring The Spring collided at the 250m mark checking all three greyhounds.

Banjo's Affair – Proved difficult to box, will be boxed first in future events. 

Challis Sprite checked off Piriformis at the 250m mark..  Calfuray and Brayden Lennox collided at the 250m mark checking Brayden Lennox and Lights Of Tanjil.  Calfuray lost ground at the 100m mark.

Calfuray underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left triangle muscle and spike wounds to the left hind paw. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dee Dee One and Nunniong Miss collided soon after the start.  Busy Bella and Doran's Call collided soon after the start.  Hopeful and Nunniong Miss collided at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds.  Nunniong Miss and Renegade collided at the 150m mark.  Superstar Jessie and Doran's Call collided at the 100m mark.  Superstar Jessie galloped on Doran's Call approaching the winning post.   

Ninetymile Hawk and Adala Prince collided at the 250m mark.  Annaley Rooka and Adala Prince collided at the 100m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Hurricane Rose - the winner of the event.

Bally Beckham – New declared weight of 29.5kg, last raced at 30.7kg.

Voluptuous Dot, Mossy Oak, Bally Beckham and Rooey collided soon after the start.  Voluptuous Dot and Bally Beckham collided at the 150m mark checking Bally Beckham.

Meeting Comments

Eau Rouge – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound was stood down from racing at the Warragul for Failing to Chase. Weighing 27.6kg and beginning from box 1, Eau Rouge completed the 300m trial distance in a time of 16.77. Eau Rouge placed 1st in a field of 4 winning by 9 lengths. Eau Rouge has been cleared to race at Straight tracks only.
