Steward's Report
Pharoah's Dream – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a seasonal spell.
Dyna Nancy – Not raced for in excess of 3 months due to a change in kennels. A pre-race sample was taken.
Dyna Nancy and Slipaway Whitey collided soon after the start. Scarlet Magic, Meet Half Way and Suspicious Lee collided soon after the start checking Meet Half Way. Pharoah's Dream, Angel Of Glory, Suspicious Lee, Sanya Bay, Dyna Nancy, Scartlet Magic and Slipaway Whitey collided approaching the first turn checking Slipaway Whitey, Suspicious Lee, Sanya Bay, Scarlet Magic and Angel Of Glory. Dyna Nancy checked off Pharoah's Dream on the first turn. Dyna Nancy and Meet Half Way collided on the home turn checking Meet Half Way. Pharoah's Dream and Slipaway Whitey collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Suspicious Lee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
Meet Half Way underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing on the right foreleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Supplementary Report
Gai Keeping - Presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at The Meadows on 6.4.19. Gai Keeping was examined by the on-course veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Gai Keeping was cleared to race.
Geelong Friday 5th April
Prior to the running of race 7 it was noted that there was a greyhound on the loose in the car park, thus delaying the start by approximately four minutes. At an inquiry convened today, Trainer Nathan Hunt pleaded guilty to a charge pursuant to GAR86(o) in that he failed to ensure the greyhound Mitta Mitta was under effective control. Mr Hunt was fined $100.
