Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick was checked off Manny Allen approaching the first turn. Lady Mikado and Croucher collided on the first turn checking Croucher causing Manny Allen to clip the heels of Buddy Blinx. Karaka and Fourth Dimention collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Kilpatrick clipped the heels of Karaka on the home turn. Croucher galloped on Karaka on the home turn severely checking Karraka. Kilpatrick and Karaka collided on the home turn causing Kilpatrick to fall.
Kilpatrick underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
Karaka underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a sprained and spiked toe on the right front foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Moles regarding the performance of Karaka on the home turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Karaka must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
