Steward's Report
Tricky Tron – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a left sesamoid injury and spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jan's Star.
Doran's Grove, Tricky Tron, Fred's My Name and Tana's Angel collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Doran's Grove which collided with Zefron. Doran's Grove, Jan's Star and Annaley Flash raced wide in the home straight.
Doran's Grove underwent a post-race veterinary examination and it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right fore leg laceration. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments:
Compsognathus - Presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at the Shepparton meeting on 28th January 2019. Compsognathus was examined by the on-course veterinarian and found to be free from injury. Compsognathus was cleared to race.
Master Reid – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a change of kennel. Weighing 33.4kg and beginning from box 1, Master Reid completed the 390m trial distance in a time of 22.32. Master Reid placed 4th in a field of four starters beaten by 10 lengths. Master Reid has been cleared to race.
