Steward's Report
Kennels closed approximately 5 minutes later than advertised due to an accident on the Princes Hwy.
Stewards spoke to Ms D. Gouge, the trainer of Nimble Leo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nimble Leo last raced on1st November 2018. Ms Gouge stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a spell.
Tamika Bay and Kantilla collided soon after the start. Tamika Bay and Kantilla collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, both greyhounds lost ground as a result. Saint Destructor checked off Nimble Leo on the home turn. Tamika Bay faltered approaching the winning post.
Tamika Bay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
