Kennels closed approximately 5 minutes later than advertised due to an accident on the Princes Hwy.

Stewards spoke to Ms D. Gouge, the trainer of Nimble Leo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nimble Leo last raced on1st November 2018. Ms Gouge stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a spell.

Tamika Bay and Kantilla collided soon after the start. Tamika Bay and Kantilla collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds, both greyhounds lost ground as a result. Saint Destructor checked off Nimble Leo on the home turn. Tamika Bay faltered approaching the winning post.

Tamika Bay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Buddy Goes Bang- the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Wright, trainer of Devil‘s Cartel, regarding the scratching of that greyhound when Mr Wright had another greyhound in the event. Mr Wright provided Stewards with a copy of a veterinary report for Devil‘s Cartel dated 12/2/2019. Stewards accepted the explanation for the scratching.

A pre race sample was taken from Talanjee Chief.

Go The Force was slow to begin.

Black Kruger and Nimble Jackson collided soon after the start. Blue Bar Pie and Zipping Jerry collided approaching the first turn. Thomeli Monster, Go The Force and Zipping Jerry collided on the first turn checking Zipping Jerry. Thomeli Monster and Talanjee Chief collided approaching the home turn. Go The Force and Talanjee Chief collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms M. Fullerton, the trainer of Believe In You regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Believe In You last raced on 24th September 2018. Ms Fullerton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after having its tonsils removed.

Race Three ran approximately a minute and a half late due to a malfunction with the photo finish equipment.

Mini Yaala, Raging Rampant and Miss Klara collided approaching the first turn. Super Panda and Believe In You collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mini Yaala, Raging Rampant and Miss Klara collided approaching the home turn checking Raging Rampant and Miss Klara. Raging Rampant checked off Mini Yaala approaching the winning post.

Cee Magic and Black Tess collided soon after the start. Spring Classic checked off Black Tess collided soon after the start. Hawkie and Black Tess collided approaching the first turn. Hawkie, Black Tess and Spring Classic collided approaching the home turn. Hawkie and Spring Classic collided approaching the home turn causing Hawkie to brush the running rail, causing Black Tess and Hawkie to collide as a result.

Stavros and She's An Earn collided soon after the start causing Redcliff Rebel to fall. Dyna Dixon and Tibby Shore collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Dixon, Tibby Shore and She's An Earn collided on the first turn severly checking Dyna Dixon and Tibby Shore causing Tibby Shore to clip the heels of Mema Wibble. Tibby Shore and Stavros collided as a result. Stavros checked off Dyna Dixon approaching the home turn. Tibby Shore and Stavros collided approaching the home turn. Dyna Dixon and Meet Half Way collided entering the straight.

Redcliff Rebel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Magri, representative of Die Laughing, regarding the scratching of that greyhound when trainer Ms M. Mallia-Magri had another greyhound engaged in the event. Mr. Magri advised that Die Laughing had been scratched due to wrist soreness and it was their intention to have the greyhound examined by their veterinarian by Tuesday 19/2/19. Mr. Magri was directed to provide a copy of the veterinary report to Stewards.

Huxley and Calendar Boy collided approaching the first turn. Summer Skye checked off Calendar Boy approaching the first turn checking Summer Skye causing Summer Skye and Benny's Entity to collide. Huxley checked off Zoom Out approaching the home turn. Huxley and Zoom Out collided on the home turn.

Hail Galo Girl and Kouta Mayhem collided approaching the first turn. Brake Drum and Sabjorn Bale collided approaching the first turn. Kouta Mayhem, Brake Drum and Sabjorn Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Kouta Mayhem and Sabjorn Bale causing Kouta Mayhem, Hail Galo Girl and Kalani Willow to collide. Handsome was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the thigh and pencil/whip muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Why Not Kez was vetted following the event at the trainers request.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion in the skin over the achillies tendon. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs Lisa Hellmuth, the representative of Handsome, in regards to the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Upon reviewing the available race footage Stewards issued a warning to Handsome.

A sample was taken from Dybala - the winner of the event.

Steorra went up with the lids at box rise and stumbled as a result. Winlock Intent and Our Gal Livy collided soon after the start. Shady Buck and Here Comes Tom collided approaching the first turn. Ninety Proof and Our Gal Livy collided on the first turn. Winlock Intent checked off Here Comes Tom approaching the home turn checking Here Comes Tom and causing the greyhound to lose ground as a result. Ninety Proof and Winlock Intent collided approaching the home turn. Here Comes Tom checked off St.Pauli entering the home straight.

Steorra was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Here Comes Tom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards delayed the announcement of All Clear to review the race footage after a rabbit ran across the track in the home straight during the running of the event. After reviewing the lateral and head-on footage, Stewards were of the opinion that multiple greyhounds had been distracted by the rabbit and therefore declared the event a no race in accordance with GAR 56(1).
