A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Watson.
Lektra Miss was quick to beign. Tarquin Bob was slow to begin. Row Tay Tom, Tarquin Bob, Philo Bale and Dr. Watson collided soon after the start. New Apollo, Tarquin Bob, Dr. Watson and Surfonic Gold collided on the first turn checking Tarquin Bob. Lektra Miss tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Brooks regarding the direction that the greyhound Row Tay Tom be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
