Ms. Delaney stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an illness. Ms. Delaney declared a new weight of 32.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Perfect Chase last raced at 31.2kg.
Perfect Chase and Vineyard were quick to begin. Hurricane Blake and Hurricane Cindy were slow to begin. Fabulous Cash and Ding Dong collided soon after the start checking Ding Dong. Hurricane Blake and Hurricane Cindy collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Blake. Ding Dong raced wide approaching the home turn.
