Stewards stpoke to Ms. A. Delaney the representative for Perfect Chase regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Perfect Chase last raced on 27/05/18.  Ms. Delaney stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an illness.  Ms. Delaney declared a new weight of 32.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Perfect Chase last raced at 31.2kg.

Perfect Chase and Vineyard were quick to begin.  Hurricane Blake and Hurricane Cindy were slow to begin.  Fabulous Cash and Ding Dong collided soon after the start checking Ding Dong.  Hurricane Blake and Hurricane Cindy collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Blake.  Ding Dong raced wide approaching the home turn.  Fabulous Cash and Vineyard collided approaching the winning post.

Cloncurry Girl was quick to begin.  Big Papa was slow to begin.  Big Papa, Edna Betts and Dr. Chella collided soon after the start checking Edna Betts.  Big Papa and Dr. Chella collided on the first turn.  Dr. Chella, Big Papa and Got Goosebumps collided approaching the home turn.  Dr. Chella eased in the home straight.  Big Papa, Dr. Chella and Got Goosebumps raced wide in the home straight.

Big Papa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. McMahon the representative for the greyhound Dr. Chella regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Dr. Chella was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shoulder muscle and right thigh, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Dr. Chella with failing to pursue the lure with due committment by reason of injury.  Mr. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Chella was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nominiation will be accepted.

The All Clear for this event was delayed to allow the Stewards to view the video replay after the position of the lure became closer than the required distance approaching the first turn. The Stewards permitted the variation to the specified lure distance as provided for in GAR 55 as no greyhounds were inconvenienced by the positioning of the lure (to close) and it had no material affect on the outcome of the event, the All Clear was given on the numbers 4 - 2 - 8 - 7.

Stewards spoke to the lure driver following the event who stated that the lure did not respond when he attempted to increase its speed resulting in the leading greyhound being to close to the lure approaching the first turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ninetymile Donny.

Ninetymile Donny and Perfect Piper were slow to begin.  Good One Carl was checked off Sharon's Gold on the first turn.  Sharon's Gold and Twice Blessed collided on the first turn checking Sharon's Gold.  Sharon's Gold was checked off Bye Bye Brad on the home turn, Good One Carl and Perfect Piper were checked as a result.

This event was declared a no race following a malfunction of the lure.

Mr. J. Formosa the trainer of Stir Fry Shrimp declared a new weight of 33.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Stir Fry Shrimp last raced at 31.5kg.

Sweet Spolly was slow to begin.  Stir Fry Shrimp faltered on the first turn and lost considerable ground.  Mizuki was checked off Mr. Pendles approaching the home turn.

Stir Fry Shrimp was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Miss was quick to beign.  Tarquin Bob was slow to begin.  Row Tay Tom, Tarquin Bob, Philo Bale and Dr. Watson collided soon after the start.  New Apollo, Tarquin Bob, Dr. Watson and Surfonic Gold collided on the first turn checking Tarquin Bob. Lektra Miss tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Brooks regarding the direction that the greyhound Row Tay Tom be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Firefly Nuts was slow to begin.  Mickie Raven and Nash Road Betty collided soon after the start checking Mickie Raven.  Mickie Raven, Mister Maker, Firefly Nuts, Dr. Shreds and Architecture collided on the first turn checking Mickie Raven, Firefly Nuts and Dr. Shreds.

Popowski and Brindle Ninja collided on the first turn checking Popowski, Brindle Ninja fell as a result.  Popowski and Python Pride collided in the home straight.

Brindle Ninja was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hock/metatarsals.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Here's Tiger was a late scratching at 2.52pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured left front toe.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Baggy's Request was quick to begin.  Midnight Muscat and Dr. Luvdisc were slow to begin.  Cersei, Alonso Power and Goorawin collided approaching the first turn.  Cersei and Alonso Power collided on the home turn.  Alonso Power tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Alonso Power was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Five Lights was quick to begin.  Scooby Boy and Scrumble were slow to begin.  Scrumble and Just Blacky collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Scooby Boy was checked off Crash Reality on the first turn.  Scrumble was checked off Just Blacky on the home turn.

Cool De Beers, Viewing and Fallen Star were slow to begin.  Fairy Where, Screaming Oaks, My Names Rhonda and Dane Daisy collided on the first turn checking Mini Tron.  My Names Rhonda and Dane Daisy collided approaching the home turn checking Dane Daisy.  Cool De Beers was checked off Mini Tron entering the home straight.  My Names Rhonda and Dane Daisy collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Meehan Phil trialled over 400 metres from box 5, weight 33.2kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 6.  The time of the trial was 22.86 secs, the greyhound was beateb by a margin of 12.25 lengths.  Meehan Phil was cleared.

Almapa Gallucci trialled over 400 metres from box 2, weight 33.0kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 6.  The time of the trial was 22.86 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 8 lengths.  Almapa Gallucci was cleared.

Destiny's Child trialled over 400 metres from box 7, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed six in a field of 6.  The time of the trial was 22.86 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 14.5 lengths.  Destiny's Child was cleared.  Destiny's Child was vetted following the trial.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Modern Jagger trialled over 400 metres from box 1 weight 33.0kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 6.  The time of the trial was 22.86 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8 lengths.  Modern Jagger was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Conway the trainer of Galloping Tina regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Galloping Tina last raced on 20/11/17.   Mr. Conway stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Galloping Tina trialled over 400 metres from box 3, weight 28.3kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of 6.  The time of the trial was 22.86 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 13.5 lengths.  Galloping Tina was cleared.
