Steward's Report
Quick Blaze, Neb's Shark and Tiger Minstrel were slow to begin.
Travel Easy, Federal Reason and Cool Flow collided approaching the first turn, checking Travel Easy and Federal Reason. Travel Easy checked off Night Sky approaching the home turn. Federal Reason and Neb's Shark collided approaching the home turn, checking Federal Reason. Travel Easy galloped on the heels of Night Sky on the home turn. Cool Flow raced wide and eased on the home turn, forcing Tiger Minstel to race wide and serverly checking Tiger Minstrel.
Cool Flow was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr Brian Hodgson, the trainer of the greyhound Cool Flow, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Cool Flow with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Hodgson declined a revet and pleaded guilty to the charge, Cool Flow was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
