Steward's Report
Artistic Genius, Poppy Yaala and Ace Cruising were quick to begin.
Shaina Cabang, Atlantic Jewel and Damo's Pineapple collided approaching the first turn, checking Shaina Cabang. Boston Quay, Atlantic Jewel and Damo's Pineapple collided on the first turn, checking Atlantic Jewel. Magic Lantern raced wide entering the home straight. Boston Quay faltered approaching the winning post.
Boston Quay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right long head triceps (monkey) and gracilis (back) muscles. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Simon Barker, the trainer of Lashil, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Lashil last raced on 29 September 2017. Mr Barker stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lashil trialled over the 450m from box one, weight 28.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 25.75, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.5L. Lashil was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Polly's Nigel trialled over the 450m from box three, weight 34.2kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 25.75, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75L. Polly's Nigel was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Mahoney Miss trialled over the 450m from box five, weight 28.9kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 25.75, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.5L. Mahoney Miss was cleared.
