Skidlisha was a late scratching at 9:43 am, due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Cruisy's Star.
No Secrets and Alpanda were quick to begin. Chilling Story, Attack Plan and Marvelette collided soon after the start, checking Marvelette. Marvelette checked off Attack Plan approaching the first turn, checking Marvelette. Buddie's Al checked off Cruisy's Star approaching the first turn. Marvelette checked off Cruisy's Star entering the home straight. Marvelette and Cruisy's Star collided in the home straight. Cruisy's Star checked off Attack Plan approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr Tim Noy regarding the direction that the greyhound Alpanda be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
