Cawbourne Mav, Bluey Can Fly and Latissimus Dorsi were slow to begin. Bluey Can Fly and Latissimus Dorsi collided soon after the start. Arlecchino and Flashing Lights collided soon after the start. Riverdale Paddy, Cawbourne Mav, Bluey Can Fly, Flashing Lights and Latissimus Dorsi collided on the first turn, checking Bluey Can Fly and Flashing Lights. Latissimus Dorsi checked off Riverdale Paddy approaching the home turn. Arlecchino crossed to the inside approaching the home turn, checking Ben's Talon and Riverdale Paddy; causing Ben's Talon to race wide as a result. Riverdale Paddy and Flashing Lights collided in the home straight.
