Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Brazen Bull.
Riverdale Tarzan was slow to begin. Brazen Bull and Terry Towelling collided soon after the start. Speedway Lass and You Dance collided on the first turn, severely checking Speedway Lass. Storm Search and Umar Allen collided on the first turn. Riverdale Tarzan and Terry Towelling collided approaching the home turn. Speedway Lass checked off Umar Allen in the home straight.
Meeting Comments:
Stewards opened an Inquiry into the conduct of licensed trainer, Mr Michael Said, during kennelling time after Stewards withdrew greyhound, Casanova (engaged in Race 5) due to a weight variation. After taking preliinary evidence from Trainer, Mr M Said and Stewards - Mr B Blood and Ms L Fahry, Stewards have adjourned the matter to a date and time to be fixed.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Said, the trainer of Spur, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Spur last raced on 29 December 2017. Mr Said stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following after being retired. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Spur trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 29.5 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22:80, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.25 lengths. Spur was Cleared.
