Steward's Report
Lotti Biscotti and Alberto were slow to begin. Audacious Poppy and Mepunga Bonnie collided soon after the start checking Audacious Poppy. Monster Machine, Alberto and Beau Gem collided on the first turn checking Alberto and Beau Gem and causing Alberto and Beau Gem to race wide. Monster Machine and Alberto collided in the home straight checking Monster Machine. Alberto eased in the home straight and collided with Monster Machine checking Monster Machine.
Alberto was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Simmons, the representative of the greyhound Alberto regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Alberto with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Simmons pleaded guilty to the charge, Alberto was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
