Violation was quick to begin.  Your Queen was slow to begin.  Akina Indie was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Akina Indie crossed to the outside soon after the start and checked off Your Queen.  Akina Ivy, Your Queen and Lady Ruby collided approaching the first turn checking Akina Ivy.  National Girl, Your Queen and Lady Ruby collided on the first turn checking National Girl and severely checking Your Queen and Lady Ruby, Lady Ruby faltered and pulled up as a result.  Akina Indie raced wide approaching the home turn.  Big Papa and Your Queen collided on the home turn checking Your Queen.

Lady Ruby underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right scapula.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Shakin' Brave underwent a post race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 8.  Shakin' Brave was found to have an injured right elbow.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Parade Steward Mr. C. Braithwaite and issued him with a warning after he left the kennel area without one of the greyhounds engaged in the event.  The matter was referred to Mr. Braithwaite's Manager.

Bright Heart was slow to begin.  Thrill Me, Bright Heart, Redhead Chez, Brother Brother and Over Talking collided soon after the start checking Thrill Me, Bright Heart, Brother Brother and Over Talking and severely checking Redhead Chez.  Dr. Outlander, Oshkosh Nar and Fab Senorita collided on the first turn checking Dr. Outlander and Oshkosh Nar.  Dr. Outlander and Oshkosh Nar collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Thrill Me was checked off Fab Senorita on the home turn.

No Talking, Fast Talker and Whynot Gazza were slow to begin.  Fast Talker and Whynot Gazza collided soon after the start.  No Talking was checked off Velocity Dory on the first turn, No Talking lost ground as a result.  Dr. Mianda and No Talking collided on the first turn.  Darcon Flash, Fast Talker and Whynot Gazza collided approaching the home turn.  Darcon Flash eased and failed to pursue the lure on the home turn severely checking Fast Talker and Whynot Gazza.  Velocity Dory was checked off Inter Mimi on the home turn.  Darcon Flash and Whynot Gazza collided twice approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Conway the trainer of Darcon Flash regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Darcon Flash was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Conway pleaded guilty to the charge, Darcon Flash is suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
