Apache Bro and Umar Allen collided approaching the first turn, checking Apache Bro. Apache Bro checked off Umar Allenon the first turn. Lindy Bop, Umar Allen and Thurless Princess collided approaching the home turn checking Lindy Bop and Umar Allen. Appache Bro eased approaching the winning post.
Apache Bro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race ten. Apache Bro was found to have a moderate shoulder injury. A 10 daystand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr C. Redenbach, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Apache Bro was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr C. Redenbach pleaded not guilty to the charge, Apache Bro was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
