Steward's Report
Jazz Fusion was slow to begin.
Marlan Girl and Jiggly Wiggly collided approaching the first turn checking Jiggly Wiggly. Jazz Fusion and Jiggly Wiggly collided on the first turn, checking Jiggly Wiggly and Where's Max, Where's Max eased and turned it's head outwards and collided with Aston Vino on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Where's Max and Jazz Fusion collided on the home turn checking Jazz Fusion. Puerto Reiko golloped on the heels of Marlan Girl entering the home straight.
Puerto Reiko underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg spike wound. No stand down period was imposed.. Stewards spoke to T. Blacker, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Puerto Reiko was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr T. Blacker pleaded guilty to the charge, Puerto Reiko must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Where's Max - the winner of the event.
