Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Hope To Wyn.
Hope To Wyn was slow to begin.
Cawbourne Terry and Cherokee Fawn collided approaching the first turn, checking Cherokee Fawn. Cherokee Fawn and Why Not Pockets collided approaching the first turn, checking Why Not Pockets. Cherokee Fawn checked off Neptune Allen on the first turn. Hope To Wyn checked off Cherokee Fawn approaching the home turn. Neptune Allen eased and turned it's head inwards approaching the winning post and collided with Why Not Pockets.
Neptune Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fore leg toe injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the handler Mr G. Dailly, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Neptune Allen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr G. Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Neptune Allen must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
