Wharfies Girl, Dorrigo Bale, Alberto, Fire And Smoke and Extra Gear collided approaching the first turn checking Dorrigo Bale and severely checking Fire And Smoke. Wharfies Girl, Alberto and Extra Gear collided approaching the first turn checking Alberto. Dorrigo Bale and Alberto collided on the first turn. Fire And Smoke galloped on Extra Gear approaching the second turn. Dorrigo Bale checked off Alberto on the second turn.
Trainer Mr R. Henness requested that Extra Gear be vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind foot laceration, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
