Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms S Elmes, the trainer of Vectis Campinae, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Vectis Campinae last raced on 16 September 2018. Ms Elmes stated that the greyhound was returing to racing following a change of kennel. Ms Elmes, trainer of Vectis Campinae, declared a new weight of 32.8 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Vectis Campinae last raced at 34.0 kgs.
Culloden Chief, Vectis Campinae and Super Blu collided soon after the start, checking Vectis Campinae. Saint Destructor and Super Blu collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Vectis Campinae raced wide on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Geall, the trainer of the greyhound Super Blu, regarding the greyhound's manners approaching the winning post. After viewing the official footage and taking evidence from Mr Geall, Stewards took no further action.
