This meeting was deemed ‘hot weather affected’, prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was 33.2 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.2 degrees.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ark Lightning.
Hammer Head, Eaglehawk Miss and Ark Lightning collided soon after the start, checking Eaglehawk Miss. Hammer Head checked off Ark Lightning on the first turn. Hammer Head raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Eaglehawk Miss, causing Eaglehawk Miss to race wide as a result.
Hammer Head was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
