Prior to the race the outside temperature was 33.0 degrees. Stewards imposed hot weather policy. Kennel temperature was 20.5 degrees Humidity is 67.7
Madonya, Miss Dangerwood, Jack Skywalker, Dyna Jules and Monoak collided approaching the first turn checking Jack Skywalker which pulled up as a result. Miss Dangerwood and Monoak raced wide on the home turn.

Jack Skywalker was vetted following the event It was reported that the greyhound sustained a injury to the left monkey muscle and left back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
