Stewards spoke to Mr S Bincat, the representative of the greyhound Big Poppy regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Big Poppy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and left quadriceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Big Poppy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Bincat pleaded guilty to the charge, Big Poppy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr C Brett, the trainer of Mr Scentric regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Mr Scentric last raced on 30th August 2017. Mr Brett stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a tendon injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Mr Scentric trialled over the 390m from box 1 weight 31.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.41, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 10L. Mr Scentric was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs M Mallia Magri, the trainer of Print The Cheque regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Print The Cheque last raced on 29th June 2018. Mrs Mallia Magri stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from extended spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Print The Cheque trialled over the 390m from box 3, weight 36.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st  in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.41, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.25. Print The Cheque was Cleared.
