Steward's Report
A race-day sample was taken from Fernando Rocks earlier today during a kennel visit by Stewards.
The outside temperature at race start time was 25.8 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 21.0 degrees.
Fernando Rocks, Light The Track and Bourbski Bar were slow to begin.
Never Duplicated and Oronsay collided soon after the start checking Never Duplicated. Ace Allen and Okay Kirsty collided soon after the start. Ace Allen and Dyna Harpa collided on the first turn checking Dyna Harpa. Okay Kirsty, Bourbski Bar and Never Duplicated collided entering the front straight checking Okay Kirsty and Never Duplicated.
A post-race sample was taken from Ace Allen - winner of the event.
Oronsay was vetted following event 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right front foot broken nail injury, no stand down period was imposed.
