Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Lektra Caution at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.
A pre-race sample was taken from Spandau Ballet.
Premier Rumble was slow to begin. Premier Rumble, Folding Green and Lektra Caution collided approaching the first turn checking Folding Green. Spandau Ballet and Dyna Waqa collided on the first turn. Lektra Caution checked off Premier Rumble on the first turn. Dyna Waqa and Premier Rumble collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn. Spandau Ballet faltered, lost ground and tailed off approaching the home turn. Folding Green and Premier Rumble collided on the home turn. Riddles and Lagoon Pirate collided on the home turn.
Spandau Ballet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a partial tear to the right monkey muscle and left calf muscle, and injuries to the right calf muscle and left triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
