Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Knockout Fantasy.
Voluptuous Blue and Splinter were slow to begin. Splinter galloped on Knockout Fantasy soon after the start. Rum Dum was checked off Husky Beatle on the first turn. Husky Beatle and Knockout Fantasy collided on the home turn. Knockout Fantasy crossed out and turned its head entering the home straight checking Lance Link. Husky Beatle was checked off Knockout Fantasy in the home straight.
Knockout Fantasy underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left elbow. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Clark the trainer of Knockout Fantasy regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Knockout Fantasy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Clark pleaded not guilty to the charge, Knockout Fantasy was found guilty and suspended for 3 months all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
