Stewards spoke to Mr T. Rasmussen, the Trainer of Nations (8) regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve Nations for racing. Stewards charged Mr Rasmussen with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time. Mr Rasmussen acknowledged the offence and was fined $250.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Darren Russell following the impressive win of Bago Bye Bye in Heat 8 of the Australian Cup in a Best of the Night time of 29.53. Mr Russell advised Stewards that Bago Bye Bye is one the fastest greyhounds he has ever trained and that he recently raced in New Zealand with great success and claimed a track record in the process. Since returning to Austaralia, Bago Bye Bye has had some time off racing to re-acclimatise but also had some niggling injuries which has prevented him from racing for around two months. Bago Bye Bye had recently public trialled here at the Meadows well enough to give connections confidence that a strong first-up performance in the Australian Cup series was possbile, if not likely. Connections supported Bago Bye Bye to win the series. A urine sample was taken for analysis.

Dyna Uni was a late scratching at 12.20pm through illness. A veterinary certificate will be required before any further nominations will be accepted.
