Steward's Report
A race day sample was taken from Princess America earlier today during a kennel visit by Stewards.
A pre-race sample was taken from Secret Business.
Secret Business was quick to begin. Gee Dalton and Crickets Dash collided soon after the start checking Gee Dalton. Crickets Dash was checked off Secret Business approaching the first turn. Buck the Jockey and Superior Primo collided on the first turn. Crickets Dash and Go Zippy Go collided on the first turn checking Go Zippy Go. Crickets Dash and Go Zippy Go collided approaching the home turn severely checking Go Zippy Go. Crickets Dash and Princess America collided on the home turn.
Go Zippy Go was vettted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Meeting comments:-
Dewana Interest was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling. It was reported that there was no injury apparent. Dewana Interest was cleared for racing.
There was a short delay announcing the all clear for races 1-10 due to a fault with the on course vision.
Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A):-
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Floyd the trainer of Dyna Carver regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dyna Carver last raced on 08/04/18. Mr. Floyd stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel and a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A Dyna Carver trialled over 400 metres from box 8, weight 31.4kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.12 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths. Dyna Carver was cleared.
