Yoppi Allen was a late scratching at 5.26pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to right foreleg carpal sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Brave Hearted was slow to begin (3 lengths). Controlling was quick to begin. Brave Hearted went up with the lids at box rise. Speedy Spyro, Spector Icon and Scott To Give collided soon after the start checking Spector Icon. Speedy Spyro and Controlling collided on the first tur. Spector Icon and Over The Horizon collided on the first turn checking Spector Icon and Over The Horizon. Brave Hearted raced wide in the home straight. Spector Icon marred Over The Horizon in the home straight.

Spectra Icon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a back injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms M. Sullivan, the trainer of the greyhound Spector Icon regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Spector Icon with marring. Ms M. Sullivan pleaded guilty to the charge, Spector Icon was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Superior Briz contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Go Slow Goldy, Lily The Weapon, Lightning Ben and Pride Of Oasis collided approaching the home straight severely checking Go Slow Goldy and Pride Of Oasis.

Superior Briz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mystery Jet and But What For were slow to begin. Mystery Jet, Hello Cobber, Winlock Sim and Catfish Fozz collided approaching the first turn checking Hello Cobber and Winlock Sim. Catfish Fozz and Kraken Greta collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Kracken Greta and But What For collided in the home straight checking But What For. Kraken Greta and Hello Cobber raced wide in the home straight.

Jimmy's Angel, Piccolo Panther, On Billy's Wings collided approaching the first checking Piccolo Panther. Rave On, On Billy's Wings and Bumble Bee Bolto collided on the first turn checking Bumble Bee Bolto. Gunmetal Liam and On Billy's Wings collided approaching the home turn. Tunisian and Bumble Bee Bolto collided approaching the home turn. Tunisian and On Billy's Wings collided on the home turn. Tunisian marred On Billy's Wings appoaching the winning post.

Tunision was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind toe. A 5 day stand down period has been imposed.

Seeka Moment clicked off the heels of Go Laverne Go entering the home straight.

Senor Asher and Circus Oasis were slow to begin. Proven Mystery, Senor Asher and Elite Ollie collided soon after the start. Senor Asher, Flying Joker and Wet And Wild collided on the first turn severely checking Elite Ollie which tailed off. Flying Joker and Wet And Wild collided approaching the home turn. Senor Asher and Proven Mystery collided entering the home straight. Proven Mystery and Wet And Wild collided in the home straight.

Elite Ollie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right tarsal fracture, and was humanely euthanased.

Shamrock Valley and Tat Odin collided soon after the start. Moon Phase, Hit 'N' Split and Trouble Brewing collided approaching the first turn checking Trouble Brewing which collided with Shamrock Valley. Trouble Brewing and Shamrock Valley raced wide in the home straight.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kiewa Cowboy trialled over the 390m from box 5, weight 27.8, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.12, the greyhound beaten a margin of 4.75L. Kiewa Cowboy was Cleared.
