Ms. N. Stanley, trainer of Wanchai Express declared a new weight of 35.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Wanchai Express last raced at 34.3kg
Wanchai Express and Shannah's Gift were slow to begin.
Quick Defence and Severus Grange collided soon after the start. Spritely Brew and Blank Page collided approaching the home turn checking Shannah's Gift and severely checking Spritely Brew.
Spritely Brew was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
