Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sassy Pak.
Ima Ghost Buster and El Burrito were slow to begin. Zipping Josette and Sassy Pak collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ohana Lad and Arctic Iggy collided on the home turn. Ohana Lad eased entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Floyd, the trainer of the greyhound Ohana Lad regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Ohana Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained dislocated left front toe, soreness in the right shoulder and a spike wound to the left hind foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) stewards charged Ohana Lad with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Floyd pleaded guilty to the charge. Ohana Lad was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satusfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
