Steward's Report
Mr. A. Campbell the trainer of Share declared a new weight of 31.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Share last raced at 29.8kg.
Garrido and Share were slow to begin. Lottie Glenda and Nicky Neo collided soon after the start. Prince Mikado and Lottie Glenda collided soon after the start checking Lottie Glenda. Nicky Neo and Hannah Bear collided approaching the first turn checking Hannah Bear. Hannah Bear and Fourth Dimention collided on the first turn checking Fourth Dimention, causing Share to race wide. Garrido was checked off Lottie Glenda in the back straight. Okay Kirsty failed to pursue the lure in the back straight and again approaching the home turn. Okay Kirsty and Nicky Neo collided on the home turn. Okay Kirsty failed to pursue the lure in the home straight and collided with Nicky Neo..
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Floyd trainer of the greyhound Okay Kirsty regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the back straight, approaching the home turn and in the home straight. Okay Kirsty was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a papilloma in the right front foot and to have the thumps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Okay Kirsty with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Floyd pleaded not guilty to the charge, Okay Kirsty was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1) (a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
