Steward's Report
Inga Red, Avalon Sisco, Muzzle Welsh and Seeking Stars collided on the first turn, causing Muzzle Welsh to fall and inconvenience Handsome Jake.
Inga Red turned its head and collided with Handsome Jake in the back straight.
Muzzle Welsh was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadriceps muscle, and a spike wound and laceration to the right hock. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Vito Inguanti, the trainer of the greyhound Inga Red, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Red Inga with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Inguanti pleaded guilty to the charge, Inga Red was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
