Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Craig Treherne, the trainer of Midnite Starling, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Midnite Starling last raced on 3 November 2017. Mr Treherne stated that the greyhound was resuming from being seasonal. Mr Treherne also declared a new weight of 27.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Midnite Starling last raced at 28.8kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Midnite Starling.
Midnite Starling was slow to begin.
In Dee Genes, Predemonic and Bryden Dora collided approaching the first turn, checking Predemonic. Seabrook Dill, Poison Pen and Midnite Starling collided on the first turn, checking Poison Pen. Midnite Starling raced wide on the home turn.
