Stewards spoke to Mr Vito Inguanti, the trainer of the greyhound Inga Red, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Red Inga with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Inguanti pleaded guilty to the charge, Inga Red was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr Treherne stated that the greyhound was resuming from being seasonal. Mr Treherne also declared a new weight of 27.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).
