The start time for this race was delayed by one minute in order to hold for Waikouaiti harness.
Lanis Morris and Summer Skye were quick to begin.
Eltora, Spider Regis, Ark Lightning and Jackie Jai collided approaching the first turn, checking Spider Regis. Trapezius checked off the heels of Ark Lightning approaching the first turn. Trapezius raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
