A pre-race sample was taken from Pinnaroo upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
My Boy Roman was quick to begin. Little Steps was slow to begin.
Little Steps and Limburg Will collided soon after the start. Parry Allen, Little Steps and Limburg Will collided approaching the first turn. Parry Allen checked off Little Steps on the first turn. Little Steps and Limburg Will collided on the first turn. Swift Abbey and Pinnaroo collided on the first turn. Parry Allen, Little Steps and Limburg Will collided approaching the home turn causing Little Steps to race wide. Swift Abbey and My Boy Roman collided entering the home straight.
Parry Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left track leg injury, abrasion to the left lip and superficial spike wounds to the left and right hind and forelimbs, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
