Kissable and It All Happens collided soon after the start checking Kissable.  It All Happens, Final Punch, Miss Zok Dee and Soho Silhouette collided approaching the first turn causing Final Punch to fall, Soho Silhouette checked off the fallen greyhound.  Final Punch raced wide on the home turn.  Dawn Eruptor checked off My Boy Joey entering the home straight.  It All Happens and Limburg Sprite collided approaching the winning post.  

Final Punch was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising over right lumbo muscle and spike wounds to the left fore hind and under left paw, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Soho Silhouette was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Michael Davison advised it is his intention to recommend to the owner that Soho Silhouette be retired. Michael Davison was issued a reprimand pursuant to GAR 46 for his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound in preparation for racing. In not taking more severe action Stewards accepted that Mr Davison was attending to his ill greyhound Thera Cee that was scratched from race 12 today.

Stewards questioned Trainer James Fowler in regards to the improved performance of My Boy Joey in this event. Mr Fowler explained that the greyhound has been trialling well here at Geelong and had suffered considerable interference at its most recent start at Ballarat.  A sample was taken from My Boy Joey - winner of the event.

Covfefe and Dallas Fernando were slow to begin.

Dallas Fernando and Magic Muzza collided soon after the start checking Magic Muzza.  Dallas Fernando checked off Promiscuous approaching the first turn checking Covfefe and Dyna Yano.  Promiscuous checked off Dyna Yano on the first turn checking Covfefe and Dallas Fernando.  Golden Jet and Dyna Yano collided approaching the home turn.  Boney Power raced wide on the home turn.  Dyna Yano checked off Golden Jet on the home turn.  

Magic Muzza was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr C Grenfell (representing Trainer - Ms S Ferguson), and issued a warning regarding the racing manners of Dyna Yano approaching the winning post.

Parry Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left track leg injury, abrasion to the left lip and  superficial spike wounds to the left and right hind and forelimbs, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Steps was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right cerico-thorcic injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Limburg Will was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

This event was re-scheduled to start at 4.49pm due to a fire evacuation in the grandstand and a tractor breakdown, all remaining races on the program were put back one race, with the last event scheduled at 6.48pm.

Annette Kampman, trainer of Tally Ho BIlly declared a new weight of 33.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tally Ho Billy last raced at 31.9kg and is returning from a spell.

Michael Said, trainer of Here's The Trump declared a new weight of 31.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Here's The Trump last raced at 32.6kg and is returning from a spell.

This event was re-scheduled to start at 5:07pm. Due to the Geelong Harness race meeting greyhounds were not paraded from this event onwards.

Parvati Grange, Tally Ho Billy and Mr. No Worries were slow to begin.

Zenstar and Gold Attraction collided soon after the start.  Tally Ho Billy and Here's The Trump collided approaching the first turn.  Parvati Grange checked off Gold Attraction on the first turn checking Tally Ho Jack, Mr. No Worries and Here's The Trump as a result.  Gold Attraction checked off Tally Ho Billy approaching the home turn.  Parvati Grange and Tally Ho Billy collided on the home turn severely checking both greyhounds.

You Never Know checked off Kadabra Monelli soon after the start.  Explosive Fox and Rock'em Elvis collided approaching the first turn checking Rock'em Elvis and Kadabra Monelli.  Mahlo Nacho checked off Explosive Fox approaching the home turn causing Mahlo Nacho to stumble.  You Never Know crossed out on the home turn and raced wide.

John Callus, trainer of Over And Away declared a new weight of 30.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Over And Away last raced at 29.6kg and is returning from a torn webbing.

Thera Cee was a late scratching at 2.14pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Banjo Moment and Mexican Ned collided soon after the start.  Banjo Moment checked off Mexican Ned approaching the first turn.  Mexican Ned and Riverdale Paddy collided on the first turn.  Miss Camelot and Took My Money collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (Cramp) - Riverdale Danger trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 34.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.23, the greyhound won by a margin of 1/2 length. Riverdale Danger was Cleared.  Riverdale Danger was vetted subsequent to the trial and no apparent injury was found.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Blackpool Remi trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 28.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.23, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3/4 length. Blackpool Remi was Cleared.
