Shooter's Ajax was a late scratching at 6:28pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a left hind toe ligament rupture. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr A.Farley, the trainer of Lucky Luna regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lucky Luna last raced on 16 March, 2018. Mr Farley stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of kennels. Mr Farley also declared a new weight of 30.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lucky Luna last raced a 28.2kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr R.Anchen, the trainer of Cullquin Brienne regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cullquin Brienne last raced on 28 February, 2018. Mr Anchen stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a change of kennels.

Very Canny was slow to begin.  Maxi Fozz went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Irish Swagger checked off Lucky Luna on the first turn.  Cullquin Brienne faltered on the first turn and lost ground.  Cullquin Brienne checked off Maxi Fozz approaching the home turn.  Cullquin Brienne and Very Canny collided on the home turn and again several times in the home straight.

Cullquin Brienne was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hip and left groin injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Avatar Witch was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor laceration to both wrists, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 30 seconds to allow the Lure Driver to reposition the lure into the correct starting position. Stewards spoke to lure driver, Mr S.Baldwin and reminded him of his responsibilities.

Daintree Prinz was slow to begin.  Kraken Daisy checked off Lady Simmeron soon after the start and collided with Mowgli.  Mowgli and Uncle Bump collided approaching the first turn checking Uncle Bump.  Kraken Daisy checked off Mowgli approaching the first turn.  Lady Simmeron checked off Archer's Will on the first turn.  Mowgli and Archer's Will collided on the first turn checking Lady Simmeron, Archer's Will and Whalephant.  Uncle Bump checked off Whalephant approaching the home turn checking Daintree Prinz.  Lady Simmeron and Whalephant collided on the home turn. Whalephant eased and looked inwards entering the home straight.  Lady Simmeron and Uncle Bump collided in the home straight.

Archer's Will was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Whalephant was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle and left back muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr S. Divers, the Trainer of Whalephant.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Whalephant with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Divers pleaded guilty to the charge, Whalephant was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton Track and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

What Stopping Ya, Clovalley Mauri and Puffin' Stuff were quick to begin.  Test Pilot was slow to begin.  Will Dazzle and Cloud Cover collided soon after the start checking Will Dazzle.  Chillby checked off Clovalley Mauri approaching the first turn.  Puffin' Stuff crossed to the rail on the first turn checking What Stopping Ya.  Miss Booming and Clovalley Mauri collided in the home straight checking Miss Booming.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr J.Donaldson, the trainer of She's Quite regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. She's Quite last raced on 20 July, 2017. Mr Donaldson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, She's Quite trialled over the 390m from box 8, weight 26.9kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.96, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.25 lengths. She's Quite was Cleared.
