Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Flying Sparkles engaged in this event on 23 May 2018 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Trixta Rox.
Dyna Alistair and Dyna Benny were slow to begin.
Dyna Benny, Nangar Range, Flying Sparkles and Blackjack Neo collided approaching the first turn checking Nangar Range, Blackjack Neo and severely checking Dyna Benny which stumbled. Trixta Rox crossed out in the back straight and raced wide. Nangar Range raced wide in the back straight. Dyna Chill and Trixta Rox collided on the home turn. Dyna Chill and Dyna Benny collided in the home straight.
Dyna Chill was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right saddle soreness and spike wounds to the left and right hind, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Flying Sparkles was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle soreness, right deltoid soreness, right hip soreness and a laceration to the left hind toe, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
