Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 30 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.4 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Take A Lynx – Late scratching at 9:52 AM when Mr. Shane Jack reported the greyhound to have a laceration (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate, pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w), before any future nominations will be accepted.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Starter, P. Brennan, did not act in any official capacity that may have, in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
