A pre-race sample was taken from Issy Keats.
Issy Keats was quick to begin. Seventh Cavalry was slow to begin. Our Echo Rose and Street Artist collided soon after the start. Issy Keats crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Alabar and Paisley. Street Artist checked off Alonso Power on the first turn. Paisley and Alonso Power collided on the first turn. Seventh Cavalry checked off Miss Oreo Mac on the first turn, severely checking Our Echo Rose; Seventh Cavalry faltered and lost ground as a result. Alonso Power and Miss Oreo Mac collided entering the home straight.
Seventh Cavalry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg metatarsal fracture, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Alonso Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
