Steward's Report

Spazzy Blue was a late scratching at 3:18 pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon, due to a right wrist injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zafonic Express.

This race started approximately two minutes late after there was a delay with the stir-up.

Flowering Rose and Cash Ownley collided soon after the start.  Rozehill Beth and Daisy Patch collided approaching the first turn.  Rozehill Beth, Daisy Patch and Zafonic Express collided on the first turn, checking Daisy Patch, Rozehill Beth, Bomber Lane and Cash Ownley.  Flowering Rose and Zafonic Express collided approaching the home turn, checking Flowering Rose.  Daisy Patch checked off Flowering Rose approaching the home turn, checking Bomber Lane.  Rozehill Beth and Cash Ownley collided on the home turn.

Flowering Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the inside of the right knee.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards reminded the Lure driver, Mr S Maloney of his responsibilities to ensure that there is no delay in starting the lure when kennel staff activate the green light for the stir-up. Stewards referred the incident to the appropriate manager.
