Beast, Manila Mist and Windy Lane collided on the first turn checking Manila Mist and Windy Lane. Smoke Signals and Buddie's Al collided approaching the home turn checking Smoke Signals. No Quarter Given stumbled and fell on the home turn and tailed off as a result. Refueled, Manila Mist and Windy Lane collided in the home straight checking Manila Mist and Windy Lane. Windy Lane marred Buddie's Al in the home straight checking Buddie's Al.

No Quarter Given was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lower back injury. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Windy Lane was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist and left chest muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. F. Wilkinson, the trainer of the greyhound Windy Lane regarding the greyhounds racing manners in home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Windy Lane with marring. Ms. Wilkinson pleaded guilty to the charge, Windy Lane was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards inspected the track following this event after No Quarter Given fell on the home turn and was passed safe for racing.

Bluey Can Fly and Another Banji were slow to begin.

Another Banji, Bro Wizard and Premier Black collided on the first turn checking Another Banji. Bushman's Destiny was a late scratching at 5:46pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. A. Wilcock, trainer of Senor Ollie declared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Senor Ollie last raced at 31.1kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Seymour, the trainer of Windsor Prize regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Windsor Prize last raced on 29th November 2017. Mr. Seymour stated that the greyhound was returning from a groin injury.

Sublime Sull crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Open Mind, Horey's Girl, All Inn Johnson and Windsor Prize. Windsor Prize, Sublime Sull and All Inn Johnson collided approaching the first turn checking All Inn Johnson and Sublime Sull. Horey's Girl and Sublime Sull collided on the first turn checking Sublime Sull. All Inn Johnson checked off Horey's Girl on the home turn. Horey's Girl and Sublime Sull raced wide entering the home straight.

Sublime Sull was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left hind toe and right triangle. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.
