Miss Gippsland and Weetbix Mini collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Weetbix Mini. Miss Gippsland and My Bro Lewis collided on the home turn. My Real Deal and My Bro Lewis collided on the home turn. My Real Deal raced wide on the home turn. Mahjong Magic marred Miss Gippsland on the home turn. Rappa Flash and Stirling Archer collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Keneally, the trainer of the greyhound Mahjong Magic regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Mahjong Magic with marring. Mr. Keneally pleaded guilty to the charge, Mahjong Magic was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
