Lil' Miss Willow was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Peter Schofield regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Jaggered Stone. Stewards directed that Jaggered Stone be boxed first in future events.

Pergamon and Boston You Essay collided soon after the start. Pergamon, Boston You Essay and Wet And Wild collided at the 250m mark. Blue Afro and Nitro Heroine collided at the 250m mark. Pergamon and Boston You Essay collided at the 200m mark. Nolen's Fortune faltered at the 100m mark and subsequently lost ground.

Nolen's Fortune was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left Achilles tendon injury. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Ronald Cameron, trainer of Fiery Miss, declared a new weight of 28.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Fiery Miss last raced at 27.1kg.

Miss Just Under was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right gracilis (back) muscle. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Yvonne Cassidy, the trainer of Braemar Bossy, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Braemar Bossy last raced on 31 July 2017. Ms Cassidy stated that the greyhound had sustained a right gracilis (back) muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Braemar Bossy trialled over the 300m from box three, weight 30.0kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.89, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75L. Braemar Bossy was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Yvonne Cassidy, the trainer of Vallexia, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Vallexia last raced on 17 July 2017. Ms Cassidy stated that the greyhound had sustained a left tensor fascia (triangle) muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Vallexia trialled over the 300m from box six, weight 28.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.89, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25L. Vallexia was cleared.
