Steward's Report
Ebb was quick to begin. Absolute Breeze and Sneak Preview collided soon after the start, checking Absolute Breeze. Scarlet Magic, How's It Burning and Sneak Preview collided approaching the first turn. Scarlet Magic and How's It Burning collided on the first turn, checking How's It Burning, which contacted the running rail and lost ground. Scarlet Magic and Sneak Preview collided on the home turn. Absolute Breeze clipped the heels of Scarlet Magic entering the home straight.
How's It Burning was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sacro-iliac injury and lacerations over left shoulder and hock, a three day stand down period was imposed.
Samples were taken from the placegetters - My American Girl (1st) and Kung Fu Hustle (2nd).
Stewards delayed all clear, after it was noted that there was a plastic bag on the outside of the track on the home turn. Once Stewards were satisfied that no greyhound was affected, Stewards declared all clear on 7 - 4 - 8 - 6.
